What are your favorite hymns/songs? I experienced a tremendous bible study last night and I'm still filled with verses from Psalms, many of which are contained in songs we still sing today. Share as many as you'd like.

My mother-in-law died Monday, the Titanic version of Nearer My God To Thee has been running through my head since I heard the news.

I have been listening to the same gospel song over and over for the past three months. It is all I do. Glad you asked. It truly speaks to me about my situation facing death. I just know my time is up and this song helps me sit up and face the facts.
It was recorded in 1939 by the Golden Gate Quartet and it is called, "Packing up -- Getting ready" to go. Those men were mighty beautiful singers and they did it all with their harmony, without any instruments. You have to truly be great to makethat work. It eases my mind a little each time i hear it. It speaks about a person's friends carrryig his casket tothe church and letting him down in the ground and their love of Jesus.
Hope you hear it some day. I hopethey play that at my funeral but they won't. Have no friends left or family so I will have to hear it now. Cause my lord, I an near ready now. God bless you for asking. Lord be with you. I'll be gone before long now. I feel it coming. Lord hold my hand when they let me down.
