Skate ramp surface?
I'm building a 3 ft high halfpipe when spring rolls around. I need to know what material I should use for the surface. I do not want to use Masonite because I have a friend who tried it, and it isnt good for outdoor use. I also thought about skatelite, but I think it's too expensive for my budget.

I'm having the same problem. I'm not going to try to build my ramp until summer though...anyways. try coating exterior surfaces with clear waterproof sealant (just an idea)

depends on the quality of the wood. I would go for the pressure treated stuff from what you have here though. I would go out in the country and see if anyone would give you wood from a busted up barn, people are just giving that stuff away. Then charge your friends a couple of bucks to use your ramp and spend that money on some rubberized car undercoating to put a cool surface on your ramp and protect it.
