Anybody else see the article in the newspaper about Richard, the leader in Yahoo answers?

It was a nice article about him, and we even got to see his picture. Congratulations Richard, there are more rewards than just points!

Update:

It was in the Anchorage Daily News (Alaska), the first week in January, sorry I can'tremember the exact day.

    I didn't.

Okay... I just checked it out. Unfortunately, there's a heckuva lot more to the story than what was reported. Like, how can anyone get nearly 40,000 points on a Sunday (last December) between 6 in the morning and 6 in the evening without answering a single question? That would take more than 50 people diligently digging into Richard's old answers over 4 hours each to accomplish by giving him thumbs ups on available answers. Or how about the 80,000 mystery points last year? Or, how come his nearest competitors answer more than 10 times as many questions and still have fewer points? And why do all these improbably large point accumulations occur in a relatively short time (less than 24 hours) right when dukalink6000 closes in on him? Last night, at this time, Richard and dukalink were tied at 289,720 points each. (Proof available on request). Today, Richard amassed over 12,500 points while answering only one question. I know about the possiblity of people going back into his older answers and giving them thumbs ups... but come on. It would take over 50 people more than an hour each to dig back that far into his history of answers looking for available thumbs up opportunities... and there aren't that many left.... I've checked. If there are 50 super loyal Richard supporters out there, prove it, and give me 50 thumbs downs.... I'm waiting.

It was in several newspapers. The person who wrote the article was Peter Svensson, AP. It is even in his blog. If you do a web search using his name you will find the articles.

I wonder how he made it so far with the rampant (and completely random) decisions Yahoo! answers makes when deleting content.

    Congratulations Richard.

    Thank you. Wow! Alaska!

As hard to believe as this might seem, I still have not seen this article by Peter Svensson of Associated Press (other than on the web). My local newspapers did not pick it up.

I did get messages from as far away as Australia (the Sidney Morning Herald carried it).

What paper did you see it in? And was it yesterday's paper? (I had heard he had been interviewed for this)
