The reason the game was so one sided is due to the fact Bon Accord Cricket Club played instead of the footy team. At the time they shared a pitch but were in dispute with each other when the Scottish FA invited the football team to play in the cup. Due to the cricket team getting the letter they decided to play in place of the footballers and the rest as they say is history.

Also, the score would have been even higher but they changed ends after every goal was scored.
