How do I get Full screen?

OK depends on the software you are using. If it is a movie DVD the the software should have a menu with either a full screen option or zoom to 2x, or 4x or something like that. Just pick a spot in the center of the screen and right click on it and the menu should come up. If it is like windows media player or realplayer -- not much you can do.

If your screen displays normally when using the computer but shows 3/4 when viewing a DVD the problem is one of two

a) right click on the movie and select full screen.

b) the 3/4 screen is actually a black band across the top and bottom of the picture.

If (b) the DVD you are watching is in "letter box" format. What you are seeing is normal. It's designed to be viewed on a Widescreen monitor/television.

Watching a full screen movie *is* like watching a movie with half your tv. Most of the time the ends have to be cut down or there is an annoying pan over to see the entire section of the scene. Widescreen, espiecally on a widescreen tv/monitor, allows you to see the entire frame in the same shot without anything being cut out.

Most likely, the video is being displayed in the original format. If you have black bars at the top and bottmo (At least it sounds like that) it is because your watching matted widescreen video which has those bars there to maintain teh correct aspect ratio, in other words, prevent it from getting stretched in such a way that makes it look bad.

On your toolbar, under "View", there is an option there for "Full Screen". That should work for you.
