Lung cancer?

My mom had breast cancer months ago and they treated it with radiation, she under went a routine chest film and they found a mass on her left upper lobe in her lung. She sees her DR on tuesday to go over the CT scan with contrast they ordered after her chest film. So what now? Could this be a result of the breast cancer? If so can it be in her brain or somewhere else? Any one can help me id appreciate it so much and please don't hold back on the answers cause it may not be what i want to here i need to know what everyone thinks here.

    Did they remove her breast? Did she undergo chemo too? If she was treated with only radiation and her lymph nodes were involved, yes it could have metastasized to her lung. The technology we have today and the advances that have been made in cancer research are so promising. Don't let her get discouraged and if she is not happy with the current approach to her treatment, get a consultation from another doctor as second opinions never hurt....

    Eventhough, only a doc can really answer this! I can tell you that cancer can spread to other places only to be detected later! Look, at it this way if it is and I pray it isn't! At, least they caught it in time! Best of wishes!

    yes only doctor can tell you for sure after test.. but it could of spread if its the fast spreading kind.. and it could be completely different kind too.. after you get the info go to www.webmd.com and put the name of it in the search and it will tell you all about it and what can be done.. good luck to your mom. prayers with ya

    only the doctors can tell you if it was matasticised from the breast cancer. it can spread to any place, my mom had colon cancer that moved to her lungs and her pancreas and she died in a year. if she had only seen to the colon trouble much sooner.
