How can I uninstall Norton anti virus2006 I have the disc, have tried to uninstall twice but it refuses to go?

I know it is a difficult procedure to remove Norton from someone's computer:

in support section, search for:"Norton Removal Kit". then download it and do the procedure step-by-step

There are some programs that cannot be deleted or cannot be completely deleted thru Add/Remove programs (as i had experienced, whatever i did deleting it from every bit of folders/subfolders, key registry), but u can use an "Uninstaller" software. W/ this Uninstaller software, it will display all the programs u have installed in ur pc & just highlight w/c one ur going to delete/remove, & in just a second it'll be completely removed.

go to the symantec web sight and look for the "Norton Removal Tool" This Tool Will remove all Norton\Symantec products from your machine

that's weird and really cheaky program. i think you should back up your file and go format your computer completely, as far as i know Norton anti ... is something eat your memory really badly , it makes your computer run slow. get rid of it. good luck

In your control panel go to ad or remove .

Then remove the antivirus.
