Yes, you can use the phone in Thailand.
According to Nokia, the 6111 will work in Tri-band EGSM900/1800/1900 networks in Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America, and South America.
FYI - I'm listing the cellular operators in Thailand and the networks they use.
Advanced Info Service PLC AIS GSM GSM 900
Total Access Communications Co DTAC GSM 1800
ACT Mobile Company, Limited ACT MobileGSM 1900/3G
Digital Phone Co Ltd GSM 1800 GSM 1800
TA Orange Company Ltd GSM 1800 GSM 1800
As you can see, they all tally with your phone.
So rest assured you can use the phone comfortably.

Hi Woozy
The 6111 is a tri-band GSM phone. Yes it will work in Thailand. There are 5 GSM providers in Thailand that work off of GSM900/1800 so you are OK with your tri-band, you DO NOT need a quadband. If you plan to use your current provider, just make sure they have a roaming agreement with one of the Thailand companys. If your phone is unlocked, then you can just purchase a local pay as you go sim in thailand
