How long does a hotmail account need to go unused before it is considered not an active account?
I have tried to e-mail and old friend that use to have a hotmail address. I don't get any mailer demon back to my e-mail saying the account is not good. How can I tell if my friend still uses that e-mail address?

A Hotmail account becomes inactive if the person hasn't logged in at least 30 days from their last visit. That's why you got that mailer-daemon.

After 4 months a yahoo mail account would be deactivated, although, yahoomessenger debts can stay lively for years regardless of no longer logging in. wish this helps. Have a advantageous day.
