If you have children then Orlando is best--Disney World etc. It is quite a distance from a beach, but the hotels all have pools.
Vegas is fine for gambling and shows, and outside of town prostitution is legal, but for me a weekend is more than enough.
I've been to both and don't have any real desire to return to either.

Vegas is OK but everything centres around gambling
Orlando is a much nicer, greener, place. you will never fit in all the theme parks in a two week holiday, and the Cuban people that live there are really friendly.

Vegas in April - the first race in the '07 Champ Car season is in Vegas.
Orlando doesn't have any Champ Car races - so there is no reason to go there.

vegas if youre 18+ otherwise you can't do anything... orlando if not 18+ because the beaches are amazing.
