What party do you align yourself with? Why?
Not trying to put down anyones decision at all but if you vote for someone other than D or R in presidential election you are wasting your vote. And the person you least want to win has a better chance because of it.

I am a registered Republican. I am pro-life, pro-adult and umbilical stem cell research, pro-War on Terror. I value morals, although it seems the Republican Party is losing them, as well as the Dems. I think reform is necessary for both sides, but the liberal ideologies are not as good as conservatism, especially on social issues.

Was registered 'Independent' up until BUSH-then registered Democrat.
Now, looking at possible candidates for '08? Leaning towards a Republican!

None. Voting for independent candidates this next election might be a good idea.

No party. I'm a true independent. I don't believe in following mindless sheep over a cliff, no matter what side of the coin they're on.

I usually go democrat. I feel like republican mix religion with politics (which has no place mixing) and they do not care about the common working or poor person. The democrats have their faults as well but support working and poor more and look at issues without including religion in govt. but, most politicians are crooks regardless.

To hell with partisan politics, it serves only to divide and obfuscate. I'm closest to libertarians, although I feel there's a need for a modicum of economic/environmental regulations necessary to keep people/corporations from doing incredibly stupid things like building on a toxic waste dump.

Independant. I like to keep an open mind and choose the candidate who I think is best. Not because of what party they belong to.
