Is this the DUMBEST pro-choice comment supporting abortion?

"If you are against abortion, don't get one. Just support anything that makes abortion rare and unnecessary."

By that logic, pro-life people are supposed to accept abortion AND unlimited contraceptive methods, while pro-choicers "give" on nothing.

Not the dumbest, but possibly the most hypocritical.

It's like saying "If you're against murder, don't commit 1.

As someone who is genuinely pro abortion(not choice mind you, I believe there are many people who simply should not breed) I can tell you they are giving you a lot. You currently have an unlimited license to breed, I'd love to change that.

So think of those of us a tad further out on their end when dealing with them, you'll see what you get out of the deal real quick. They get what they want, and it doesn't effect you, and people like me have to wait longer before the crushing population problems give our perfect reasoning.

no longer probable. Maternal mortality is increasing interior the US (the article i'm linking to shows that maternal mortality costs are dropping around the realm, yet increasing interior the US). on an identical time, abortion is a reasonably risk-free technique. the only answer on your chum's question i can think of of might could be a philosophical one. There are women who might gladly risk their lives, even against a doctor's suggestion, with hopes to have a healthful toddler. of direction, that does no longer recommend that different women could have constrained get right of entry to to wellness care (which incorporate abortions) in basic terms using fact some human beings does no longer undergo particular concepts. you ought to postulate that a number of the maternal mortalities are using greater advantageous prenatal care, reasoning that if we did no longer have innovations-blowing prenatal care a number of the pregnancies that bring about maternal mortalities might have terminated on their own. whether you ought to locate documents to back that up, it does not relatively make the factor that abortion should not be obtainable while ideal.

If you are against abortion you must be against ALL abortion since by your definition it is murder.

And that includes any of the "exceptions" like rape. Being a child conceived by rape does not make it less than human.

A choice NOT to conceive is a choice that is taken BEFORE the creation of life and therefore is not germain to the argument.

    I prefer a pro-life slogan of:

"if you are for abortion, get your d@mn tubes tied"

    or

"if you can't do the time, don't do the crime"

    or

" you should have thought about the consequences before you said yes"

If somebody signs a binding contract they have to deal with what happens, so why should somebody get out of pregnancy because they didn't like the consequences of having sex?

How about the dumbest concept that actually contributes to teen abortions?

    Abstinence? Ya, there's a fantasy.

How about contraception so we could prevent some careless pregnancies and abortions?

The final in person "discussion" I got into with one of those people was a full blown argument. I serve on the student government at my school and I had picked up a pro-live circular that was going around. So our Faculty advisor saw me reading this went into a tyrade, started whining, snatched it from me and threw it into the paper shredder. I must say I was impressed with the liberal value of diversity in opinion on social issues.

I heard worse. Like pro-lifers who support the death penalty. Shouldn't they call themselves "pro SOME life" then? Or pro-lifers who call pro-choice people "pro-abortion." THAT'S really the dumbest comment I've heard on the issue. I've never even heard of anyone who is "pro-abortion." I'm a conservative, Catholic who believes it should be mine and my family's decision what to do in such a situation as that. Not anyone else's and certainly not the government's.

I think it's the strangest. "Just support anything..." Does that include convincing women to have hysterectomies or have their tubes tied? Just strikes me as strange, as if you don't have any other choices.

Give is not in their vocabulary.

I agree with the person who asked; Why should a person have to "give" on anything when it comes to personal choice?
