What are Credits and Semester Hours?

Usually credits, units, and semester hours refer to the same thing. They have to do with how much instruction takes place. Usually, one course has 3 credit hours. So, if u want to take that course, u will have to register for 3 credits.

So, if a course needs 18 credits, (i am a bit confused here, courses dosent have this requisite, this should be for the whole semester), then for that semester u will have to register for 18 credits or 6 courses.

Each class is three credit hours except for science which is 4 credits becuase it involves a lab that is 1 credit which is seperate from your science class.

18 credit hours=6 classes

10 credit hours= 3 regular classes and the fourth class would be a science lab which is 1 credit.
