Do you think I'm prejudiced?

For the major portion of my life, I've been supervised by African Americans, worked alongside African Americans, and socialized with African Americans. I've always felt that it was the character, quality and ability that was important...not the skin color. Yet,

the implication of prejudice continues to come up from time to

time and too often, as a crutch.

Then all the ado about the first two African-American coaches reaching the superbowl. Much less is said about the players, trainers, asst coaches, recruiters, who played the major part in reaching that goal. I admire Coach Dundee's comment when

asked how he felt about being one of the first African American

coaches in the Super Bowl. He said only.."It's much more than that, it's all about Indianapolis". I respect him and admire him

for that statement. It is my sentiment exactly, it took everybody

to get there, regardless of the skin color.

i'm a caucasian southern woman, raised by same, even DAR, and i agree with you and coach dundee. i was discussing this topic at dinner w/ kids tonight and my youngest was confused..."are white coaches not good anymore"...it gave me a great sense of pride when my teen explained to him, in kids language, what the fuss was about. the 4yo response.."if you close your eyes you can't see colors". maybe i'm doing something right :) it seems to me that you have an open, compassionate mind. thanks for asking the question.

It's like what Rush Limbaugh said , the media so wants blacks to be successful that they will go over board about it. Of course, there is nothing wrong with successful blacks, but isn't it a kind of racism to go overboard about it? No, I don't see you as prejudiced..except you talked about all the African-Americans you knew, before you made your point.
