This is more of a manly-football like workout, but dang is it affective!: Squatting. In my experience, squatting fine tones your legs better than any other exercise. Its the quickest and most efficient way to give your thighs muscle, and the more muscle they have, the sexier they look! Period!

Calf and thigh muscles are important to work out. I would dedicate one day to quadriceps, one to hamstrings, and still another to calves. Mix them up with the day you work on your shoulders, or your back. Or you can do it all on a leg day. That day should make you the sorest of all your workout days, if you are working hard enough.

For the entire leg, try squats. Try seated curls for the quads, and donkey and seated calf press for the gastroc. For the hamstrings, try the seated leg curl. These are just the beginning. there are a lot of good leg exercises.

Make sure you warm up and cool down by walking or running. Be sure to stretch before and after working out the legs.

calf muscles... I call them tippy-toes: with free weights in hand, arms relaxed at your sides, feet shoulder width apart, rise up slowly on your toes (as much as you can) and down slowly. do 10-15. now point your toes outward, still keeping feet shoulder width apart, do 10-15, slowly. now point your toes inward, 10-15 slowly. If you can still handle it, do another 10-15 at 1st position. now squat slowly to stretch those calf muscles. another good one is doing tippy-toes while standing on a step, with only the front of your foot ON the step so when you lower yourself, your heel actually comes down a little lower than the step, then back up again, SLOWLY so you really USE your muscles. My friend does these without weights, still all 3 positions. have something to hold onto doing this one.

Thighs: squats. with weights, even hand weights, to build mass. squat with your back against a wall for support if you're just starting. Running or power walking will trim the thighs.
