How do you set up a inter-network only net chat?

I'v seen it set up a doctor's offices, schools using netware i think?

Any help just to get started would be awesome!

    There are many utilities to do specifically this, such as Lotus... I recommend using Gaim , its free and can be used in the manner you want.

    If needed you could block the chosen protocols port on your router, so that only internal communication is possible.

    i use network chat 1.41 i got it from www.download.com

    and global communications network is the best in my opinion (gcs)
