What is the best way to organize cosmetics?

I've been using a small plastic set of drawers very much like the 26-Drawer one on the page I've linked to. It's lasted well over 7 years now, and it's still in good shape. The mix of wide & narrow drawers works well for cosmetics, since eyeshadows, blush, etc. will fit in the wider, while the narrow are good for pencils & tools.

You can get an organize shelf thing. The kind u can by at walmart or target. It is shape like a box and it come in 3 or 4 or even more pull out drawers. If this helps.

First buy a package of ziplock bags, and then organize makeup by what kind it is, such as:

Foundation

powder

eyeshadow

eyeliner

mascara

blush

bronzer

concealer

lipliner

lipstick

lipgloss

glitter

Example: Gather all your eyeshadows together and put them in a bag, gather all your lipsticks and put them in another bag....

Then when you're done, put your bags in a drawer

There you go. I don't have that much makeup, so I dont have to do this...

well I have all of my make up that i use every day in a travel size make up bag. other wise i keep the rest in the top drawer in my bathroom or make up bags. i usually separate make up and nail polish and then lighter colors and darker colors. hope this helps. target has some cute make up containers that are see through those are great.
