1994 GEO Tracker 1.6L - 8 valve motor. Cold idle is 2000 rpm's+. Anyone know how to fix this?

    What makes you think it needs to be fixed? The cold start system is doing what it's designed to do, raise the RPM to keep it running until things warm up a bit. I'm assuming it drops down to its normal 800 or so when it's warm, right?

    That may be what it is supposed to do. Does it come down as the engine warms up? If so, I wouldn't worry about it. If you really think something is wrong, have the computer scanned for codes. It is possible that you have a bad sensor telling the car the engine is colder than it really is.

    my car has this to warm it up and as it warms up the revs drop to normal idle

    Man you need to adjust your idler maybe that is your problem cuz it's too high.

    turn the distributor till you get to about eight or nine hundred.
