Does anyone know what the spec ops use for mics?

I see them with something around their throats, what is that called? I heard that they dont even have to talk for the others to listen, its attached to their throats for a reason, but what is it?

They use "throat mics" that were initially developed by the germans in WW2 for their tankers. The mic picks up you vibrations through the throat mic and amplifies it thru the system. True, when SF operate in a team, usually they use all hand signals and such, but will need radios to communicate with air support, far away units and supporting squads.
