Is there a work around for the 'dns flush' on my computer?
I have a sony vaio laptop with windows xp, and often will get disconnected from the internet. When it tries to reconnect or tries to fix, it says it cannot due to not being able to 'flush the dns'. I do the ipconfig /dnsflush but this is a pain. It seems to do this once or twice a day. Any solutions? A setting I can change or something?

Hm... here's an idea: Have a fixed IP along with a fixed DNS
Using your internet browser type in the IP Address of your router (by default 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1). Browse around until you found your router's two DNS fields. Now with this open Go to Start>Control Panel>Network Connections. Right click your connection and select properties, then click Internet Protocol and hit the Properties button. Your IP Address should reflect your router's IP (so if the router is 192.168.1.1 then your ip should be 192.168.1.x where x is a number 2-9). The submask is 255.255.255.0 (should automatically fill in if u just press Tab. For gateway, type in the IP of your router. Now for your DNS, simply type in your DNS as you see it on your router's "website".
Side note: you can't have a fixed DNS and a random IP.
