What is the chance that Barack Obama will win the Democratic nomination?

no chance really ..unless a few people end up leaving the scene..whether in an up right position or prone.........Hillary will eat him alive.....

If it came down to him and Hillary...I would vote for him any day...but the Clinton's always seem to end up on top smelling like roses even though they are standing on a dung heap.......

I just wish the choices for this next election wasn't looking so bleak.........

I think even if he doesn't win, Barack could still be in the White House. I think Hillary will have him as her running mate, or possibly vice-versa, depending on the results.

John Edwards and John McCain are an example that the democrats seem to work together more than the republicans, which although I lean a bit to the liberal side, I really admire that about them.

Another thing I believe that will work for Hillary is the fact that her and Bill did some good things for our country's foreign relations (Bill Clinton and Boris Yeltsin's friendship is proof), which is something we could use right now. I like Bush's impulsiveness sometimes, but he goes overboard a bit too often, and it has hurt our image to other countries.

Barack really has his head screwed on straight, which we really can't say about many of our politicians, and I like that about him. He hasn't been corrupted and spoiled with the velvet cusion that our government sometimes provides its politicians. Mr. Obama realizes that the government is there to provide the people, not the other way around. That is his ticket to the White House.

Not good, unless he gets both the Soros and the Clinton machine behind him. That ain't gonna happen. If he does too well, I would be surprised if he doesn't end up having a long discussion with Vince Foster and the other friends of Bill.

Wish I was kidding about that, but the "Democrat" scene is scarey.

As far as the Republican scene, well, it just isn't. That means you can expect a free-for-all on the Democrat side while they eat each other.

immediately (March 14,2007), Senator Obama has about a 50% threat of having the nomination from the Democratic party as a candidate for President in 2008. it is thrilling regardless of the actuality that that in our lifestyle, someone who's 0.5-white and 0.5-black is seen a black human being and also, someone who has a Muslim parent and a non-Muslim parent is instantly away seen a Muslim! Senator Obama's black Nigerian father and his white American mom were divorced in view that he became a infant and his father went lower back to Nigeria. He under no circumstances stated his father as an human being yet once even as the senior Obama got here to this usa for a visit. The senator became presented up through his mom or maybe in the previous her lack of life, through his Christian white grandparents in Hawaii. He chosen to grow to be a member of a Christian church and has been so for decades. i'm no longer saying being 0.5 white and presented up through his white relatives make the senator better than had he been completely black and /or being presented up through his black kin. Likewise, i'm no longer saying being a Christian instantly away makes him a better human being and a better candidate. What i'm saying is that Senator Obama has a multi-racial organic and organic heritage and a mainstream upbringing that are very a lot representative of our tremendous and assorted usa. To typecast Barack Obama as a black Muslim is rather faulty or maybe perchance vicious.

I highly doubt Barack will win for a few reasons.

First - he's too young. Most Americans prefer to vote for older more "experienced" politicians. That was part of John Kerry's problem, not that he was too young but his running mate Edwards was.

Second - he's not white. It shouldn't be an issue, but lets not kid ourselves, it is an issue. Considering that every single president has been white and protestant (except JFK who was white and catholic).

Lastly - Hilary Clinton and Giuliani. Shes more famous and much more experienced than Barack when it comes to politics on the national level. And Giuliani was the political hero of 9/11 (big bonus points).

Obama may have the "star" quality but low on experience. So, I don't know if the American public is ready for him yet. Also, the more serious question is that are we ready for an African-American President? There is no comparision between him and Jessie Jackson. He was hot too. Many liked him. But, when it came down to it, the people just weren't ready then and I believe may not be now either.

I don't think he'll get it. White Americans just aren't ready for it. And I don't think he should either and this has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He lacks the political experience and OJT should not start at the Presidential level. A couple of more terms in Congress couldn't hurt. Even still, Hiliary Clinton is not a good alternative!!!!

I think it very, very likely!!!

1. He is very intelligent and "down-to-earth"

2. He is a new and young face (trivial..but people feed off of it)

I think that Barack and Hillary are making historical moves...he is the first black man to run for office ( with such popularity) and she is the first woman to run. I think that people really need to start to focus on these two now. They of course are getting the majority of press and media coverage and are very reputable in their line of work!

I see a lot of comments that he is too inexperienced...well...I think it will be nice to have a fresh mind in the lead for our country!!

I don't think he will be.

Most people just don't know that much about him. People know a lot about Hilary. Although, that could count against her too.

Plus, if he did get the nomination I don't think he would stand a chance winning the race.

Unless something goes terribly amiss for the Jackass Party, Hillary is the frontrunner for '08.
