9-11-01...it showed me that the US is vulnerable to an attack and if we don't change our veiw on immigration and our freedoms we will all be speaking arabic soon.

Without a doubt, 911. I have been here through the Korean & Vietnam wars, the Cuban Missile crisis, the Kennedy assination, the moon walk and many other notable experiences. The World Trade Center made me realize that terror is close to home, and we can all be gone in a wink.

For those who think that history disappeared when George Bush took office, here's a gentle reminder:

The UN took control of the situation in Iraq from 1991 to 2003.

    Bang up job.

180,000 Kurds were slaughtered, the Ma'dan were systematically forced into exile, the Oil For Food Program was systematically circumvented by UN reps accepting bribes, Saddam continued his weapons programs, and the UN became involved in the largest international scandal in its history.

Add to that the transfer of almost all remaining WMD's and equipment into Syria RIGHT UNDER THEIR NOSES!

The UN is one of the greatest threats to mankind. (Vindication my a $$!)

I would say it was 9-11 b/c I think a lot of us take life and freedom for granted. When that happened, it showed how vulnerable we are from anyone and just because we are the US, does not mean anyone will be intimidated not to cause harm to Americans.

9-11.Even though I'm not an american,it made me feel very sad to see how something so precious as life can be taken in such a devious way. Hundreds of people died that day while they were at work, their day off,visiting...it was so unexpected.A day like any other turned into such a nightmare. It was very traumatic to watch and not being able to do anything to help.

JFK assassination. The end of the days of Camelot, and the beginning of a more cynical America.
