recyling symbol plastic # 7?
I came across an article regarding the recyling symbol plastic # 7,it was mentioned there that it is not safe to use plastic with # 7 labelled other, unless it is bio-based.How will I determine if the plastic I purchasing is bio-based or polycarbonate (which has BPA).I've notice that among the plastic bottles were using at home were either label #7 other and # 7 PC,which is which?
I know all about the numbers and their corresponding labels,I want to know is that in the # 7 label other or PC which before it is for polycarbonate plastic only but now they are using it for the new biobased plastic which is biodegradable,I want to know which label they are using for this biobased plastic is it the # 7 other or the # 7 PC?

The identification system divides plastic into seven distinct types and uses a number code generally found on the bottom of containers.
E.g.
Plastic #1: Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE)
Plastic #2: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
Plastic #7: Other
Common uses: certain kinds of food containers and Tupperware. This plastic category, as its name of "other" implies, is any plastic other than the named #1-#6 plastic types. Recycling centers cannot recycle plastic #7.
