What causes acrylic on your nails to turn yellow?

Lots of things can cause acrylic nails to turn yellow.
Try getting solar nails (which are normally but not always pink with white tips) they are resistant to turning yellow, even in a tanning bed!

Smoking, Dirt, Pollutants, Polish, Having a set on for a great amount of time without taking them off for a new set, etc! When i have my nails done they are done with acrylic then airbrushed with a soft pink and then sealed with a gel (helps keep yellow from peeping through)! The Polish Cotton Candy (holographic french color) tends to give off a yellow undertone and is very commonly used! I forgot tanning like the other girl said! If you have acrylics and go tanning have them put a UV top coat on as your finish! Gels dont turn yellow in the bed!
