Staticy Hair!?
I don't know if it is my straightener, my shampoo, my conditioner, my brush, or my blow dryer but EVERY time I straighten my hair my hair gets staticy and will not calm down. Any ideas on how to fix this other than not straightening my hair and not buying a new straightener(since I just got a Chi for christmas). Like is there something I can put on my hair to make it not be staticy anymore?
I have longer(a lil longer than shoulder length) blonde-brown(have not dyed it since June or July) and it is curly naturally but I straighten it sometimes. It's kinda thick but not really so yeah...

Hydra-Seal Leave in Creme made by Biolage Matrix. You can get it at a Beauty Supply but not at the store. A very small amount combed through the hair stops the hair from becoming static. It is much better and conditions the hair than using products that are not for the hair.

After u get out the shower or bath just before you blowdry your hair put serum in. I don't think it matters what kind as long as you put some in. Then blow dry your hair and then straighten it. Even if it at nite. Always straighten your hair and then staighten it agen in the morning. I use this product on my hair and my hair is dead straight. Even more if you use shine serum, your hair also goes shiny. It stays so smooth throughout the day.You can tell by just lookin at it but also put your fingers through and there is no knots. Hope i helped. xx

I very own a hair salon in Soho NYC,,, if your hair is staticy its through fact your hair isn't getting sufficient mositure-- based the place you're its winter and thats needless to say why-- its dried up,,, you may substitute and use a deep conditioner after washing your hair,, and a rapid fix is spraying water on your hair with a water bottle- in basic terms a dash in spite of the undeniable fact that- and don't use hair spray through fact the climate in it is going to reason it to be much greater staticky

I used to have that problem. The dryer sheet/static guard method does work, but I would try a shine serum instead. It adds moisture to your hair. It's the driness in the air reacting to the driness of your hair that causes the static. I use Clinque's shine serum, but there are a lot of different ones out there.

i have that problem too. A lot of the time my hair gets soo frizzy it scares me. I found this one product thats really good at keeping the frizz and staticyness away. Its by Dove and its a defrizzer. it costs about 5 dollars at any super market.

i have the same problem. every day after i am done straightening my hair, i spray Static Guard on my brush then brush my hair. you may want to try it. it comes in a blue spray container with a bright orange lid. it doesn't smell the best, but just be sure to spray a little perfume and you can't even tell!
