i think face value for most of the tickets are either $600 or $700
as far as getting them that's a bit tricky... my boss does it every year but it takes a good sized up front investment 4 or 5 years before the actual game
he finds out where the game is going to be played and reserves 6-8 rooms at a nice (not a cheap one) hotel. He then contacts the concierge at the hotel. These guys are supposed to be able to get anything. He has the concierge track down 20 or so tickets and gives the guy 4 free ones for the work. By the time this happens it's 3 years after he placed the original reservation. He then puts adds out and sells packages with the room and 2 tickets to the game. Makes all of his money back plus some extra spending cash every year.

Season ticket holders for the two teams can get a chance to buy tickets at face value via a lottery system. Other than that, I am not sure if you can buy them at face value

I think the face value of a Super Bowl ticket is close to a thousand bucks, but I could be mistaken.
