Marker for eyeliner??
I was talking to this girl in one of my classes today (college, not high school), and she was telling me how she uses a sharpie instead of eyeliner because it stays on for 2 or 3 days. Is it just me, or is that crazy?? Has anybody ever tried that? I'm pretty sure it's not good for your eyes....

Yup that's crazy alright. Markers are in no way meant to be applied to the skin. Not only is she at risk of damaging her eyes. Depending on the chemicals in that particular brand she may be harming her liver and other organs. As the chemicals are absorbed through the skin daily they can do awful things to the body.

All i can say is WHOA that girl is crazy. Don't sharpies have fumes? And yeah I think it's really bad for your skin, especially your face, where the skin is much more thin and sensitive. Tell her she should try tattoing it on if she wants it to stay longer and permanent.

Okay, it is not just you! She says she uses a sharpie??? Do not do that. That is crazy. Did she show you how it looked on?????? That would be terrible for your eyes.
The have all sorts of waterproof and all day long eyeliners. So I would stick to make-up and keep sharpies for writing.

i bet it would sting real bad if you got it in your eyes!!
i doubt it can be good for you, if it smells so strongly, and especially on the delicate eye area. : )
