Do you think they really feel they have talent?
After watching American Idol the last few weeks, I still cringe at the performance of some of the people on there. I mean I know everybody wants their 15 seconds of fame but to embaress yourself on national tv seems to be a real heavy price to pay. Or do these screamers and moaners genuinely feel they have a shot?

I think some of them honestly believe that they have talent because the people around them aren't brave enough to just stand up and say hey, I love you, but there is no way in hell I'm letting you go on national television and embarrass yourself like that because you really can't sing. On the flip side, I think that some do just want their moment of shining glory on TV. Look at the ones who dress up like chickens and hot dogs and whatever else they come up with. I think it's a mixed bunch.

I think it's sad for some people that can't hear that they are bad. They have a dream of being famous. They think they can sing but they just can't. And Simon has to be so mean to them. For example. There was a Japanese man who felt he had real talent and potential. He tried out by dressing up as Winnie the Pooh. When he was done he was smiling expecting the judges to applaud him but all they did was insult him. You could literally see his happiness come out of him. We shouldn't be laughing at them, but applauding their bravery.

I think some people know they are not talented and will never make it,and they do it just because their lives are that empty that they actually think doing it makes them cool or something lol :)

Well, they got past the auditions...but then maybe whoever they auditioned for let them pass because then they would have to face Simon, who would tell them bluntly how much they really sucked.

i ONLY watch Idol when there are auditions. I LOVE seeing the freaks. Yeah, it's their own fault that they get criticised like that. I think they are PRETTY full of themselves to think that they are that good. FREAKS!! I love it.

It's very very sad that they actually "think" they have talent. I think maybe they think singing is easy.But then Hitler probably didn't know what an asshole he was.

I think some of them do it as a goof or do it 'cause they are so bad they are good.
