Question for Computer Geeks?

If someone has a virus in their computer, can they pass it to your computer through IMing?

I'm posting in Polls and Surveys because I trust you guys more.

    Hellow Mare,

    It is not possible to have a virus from other's computer during IMing unless something is downloaded. However, anti-virus software is must to protect your computer.

    Not that I'm aware of, unless you actually download something like a picture from their computer.

    Very rare for that to happen, only if u send them something.
