Was my dream just a coincidence?

There are many examples of dreams that seemed to predict future events. Some may have been due to coincidence, faulty memory, or an unconscious tying together of known information. A few laboratory studies have been conducted of predictive dreams, as well as clairvoyant and telepathic dreams, but the results were varied, as these kinds of dreams are difficult to study in a laboratory setting

The night before I was married I had a dream where I was in Iran and there was an earthquake. Then next day, an earthquake in Iran killed tens of thousands of people. I thought something was up, until I realized this:

Over the past 26 years of my life I have dreamed about tidal waves, earthquakes, volcanoes, riots, tornadoes, hurricanes and pretty much every other conceivable natural disaster. But nothing ever happened the day after I had my dreams so I thought nothing of it.

So if you are psychic, what about all those times you dreamed about natural disasters (and I'm sure you have dreamed about them, you just have to stop and think about it for a minute) and nothing happened?

It doesn't even have to be a natural disaster. What if you dreamed about a car crash the day before Princess Dianna passed away? What if you dreamed about a burning skyscraper the day before the September 11th attacks? What if you dreamed about the Democrats taking control of congress the day before the elections?

The number of things you can dream about and the number of things that can happen in life are so many and so varied that coincidences are inevitable.

Now, if you dream about several different events before they happen, then something might be up.

It's like a pillow you can hug now and then.

I love dreams that make us wonder...I believe on some level we are all interconnected, like ants in an ant hill. In this way it is possible. I dreamed of a volcano blowing up in my back yard. I remembered it for a long time, because I had to save horses and hose down the neighbor's car. I took it to mean to quit arguing with my husband. (There is a dormant volcano about 40 miles from us) But it freaked me out for a few days, since I was 1/2 expecting the volcano to erupt.

You probably saw a tv show about it. There have been other Tsunamis. I thought about planes hitting buildings back in about 1992 beacuse i read a book by Dean R Koontz where a pilot did just that!

WOW! I have no explanation for that but most realists would call it coincidence, I call that pretty damn close! My conception of dreams are that they mostly reflect control issues. Mine include Teeth falling out, Pregnancy (yikes!), falling off of a cliff, driving a car on the edge of a mountain road (either up so steep the car falls backward or careening on the edge & fearing you'll go over), & of course...the ability to fly (we all love that one!) I hope maybe you get a more scientific answer that could explain more closely....Sweet dreams!

Wow, that's heavy. How old are you? Did you know what a tsunami was before it happened?

I think you have a special power that you can't control yet. I think you have the power of premonition. There are lots of people out there who have this power in this world. Learn to use it wisely.
