choosing best answers?

Why is it people on here care enough to ask their questions but apparently don't care enough to chose a best answer and allow it to stay in voting! Also why do people report answers if there really isn't anything wrong with them, accept the asker doesn't agree or like the opinion they have recieved?

I think many of the people on here are SO new that they don't even know you can (and should) choose your own best answers. I think they just ignore the emails about it and never bother to check the rules out.

As for things that are in voting, you can always try to hurry the process along by voting for your own answer (yes, it IS allowed!). If you don't recognize yours, just look for the abuse flag that is grey, because you can't report your own answer. But be fair -- if someone else has a better answer, vote for them!

I totally agree with you. Most of my questions I try to answer myself. I can't always get around to it. And I like to ask fun polls on Polls and Surveys, which I can't really judge answers on. I let the people around choose an answer. But if I ask a one-subject question, I choose the best answer from my own honest thoughts.

    Plus, I'm not a reporter.

LOL...I just asked this same question... check out my questions....I had some really great answers... I wish that yahoo would do something about this..I have a question that I answered months ago still in tiebreaker status.. that brings down my percentage... just not right... there are also ALOT of very opinionated HATERS out there and even some stalkers that will just go thumbs down all your answers just because... kinda sad.. dont like the haters at all... but any-who... good luck and just ignore the haters and enjoy trying to help people out with valid questions... good luck...smile

Don't know why people do that. I surely choose the best answers when it comes to my questions.

Maybe its because some people really want the advice but don't care to do the voting part because their question has been answered already.

Very worrying!!!!!!!!!! particular, it got here about to me a three hundred and sixty 5 days in the past with a former Yahoo identification. question: "Which comes first: rooster or egg?" My answer: "rooster (alphabetical order!)" yet another answerer used my same answer when I submitted it. His substitute into chosen ultimate answer. grew to become out to be a collection of two persons who had a dash game going the place she might pose a query; he might answer; and no count how inane (or insane) the respond, his may be chosen for the ten factors. An occasion -- she asked the question: "Who invented the 24 hour day?" He replied "Rolex proprietor", and he or she chosen that as ultimate answer.
