What does "Puppy Love" Mean exactly...???

I thk it relates to how people are so excited to have a puppy and eventually the puppy grows up and you just simply aren't enamoured with it the way you were at the beginning. Something that seems so important at the time but after a while you realize it wasn't as important as you thought it was.

It means that the love starts (and sometimes ends) the same way a puppy gets adopted. You fall for the cute and cuddly, the wonderful things about puppies. Then when the puppy grows up to be a dog, if you haven't developed anything more than liking the cute and cuddly, what's left?

If you adopt a Human puppy the same way, it is sometimes a recipe for heartbreak, for you and the "puppy".

But dag nab it, you just can't resist those sad eyes and the eager expression can you?

At the time it feels real ...it means the person who thinks they are in love is very young...hence the term "puppy"

The love between a young couple within a few weeks of getting together. Not really true love, more blind affection - immature, young love.
