Coefficient of Friction of a rolling wheel on soft carpet?
We need an estimate of the of the coefficent of fricion of rolling wheel (ie preferably for caster wheels) on soft shag carpet.
This would be a real help and time saver if anyone has any data or an educated guess they would like to share.
Thank you for time.
P.S. Please if you would be so kind to distinguish if you are guessing or numbers are based on data. Also if you could note if it is static based or dynamic. We can use either values.

This is not a friction problem per se. The resistance of the caster to roll on the carpet is more a function of the wheel size (how far will it sink into the carpet) and the internal resistance to rolling (is the wheel on bearings or just slipped onto an axel).
