A dollar for your thoughts?

A bottle is standing upside down on a dollar bill. Can you take out the bill without tipping or touching the bottle, and without help from anyone else?

I need this answered for a riddle contest - thanks!

You need to pull the bill out *very* quickly to have a chance. The thing that could cause the bottle to tip when pulling the bill out is the force of friction acting on the bottle from the dollar bill. The longer it takes to pull out the bill, the more time there is for the friction to have an effect. However the speed the bill is pulled out at has little effect on the amount of friction acting on the bottle at any given time. Hence the need to pull it out as quickly as possible.

It is possible. The bottle and the bill have to be as dry as possible. Bills are made of cotton, not paper, and moisture makes cotton more "grabby." Like the previous answers, the bill would have to be pulled VERY quickly so that the force of accerleration is not transferred to the bottle.

maybe if you put something heavy on the bottle, then pull the dollar out very fast.
