Is there a good mascara??
I am looking for a mascara that doesn't flake, clump, smudge, take 5 coats to get any length from it, run down my face when my eyes water and is easy to remove. I prefer not to use waterproof. Has anyone found such a beast? does it even exist? Help!

I have found that the lengthening macaras are the worst. They clump, smudge, flake off.... and get no lenth. I just use a regular brown black mascara. Either Almay Bright eyes or just maybelline mascara... no frills. To get your length use an eye lash curler. Try to stay away from metal (you need to warm it up with a blow dryer, and they get VERY hot). I bought one from Avon that is battery operated. It heats up (and its plastic). Once you curl your lashes (work from the base and "pinch" your way to the tips. Hold for about 20 seconds each time) apply a coat or two of mascara, just make sure you start at the base and wiggle it to get the lashes coated. Works like magic.
Also, stay away from the 2 in 1 tubes. It creates more hassle than its worth. And they clump more than they give off any volume.
Besides, when I use a "regular" one, I can do a quick touch up in the evening when I go out with my girls... or my guy

You can try ZA mascara. Anyway, if you always got a problem on smudge, before you put on your mascara, you apply toner onto your eyelids, these will prevent your mascara from smudge by end of the day. In addition, you can get a mascara comb which able to remove the flake and the clump as well.

hang on, lemme go look at what I have....Maybelline full n' soft.
it's the best I've used, not gloppy, doesn't flake and make my eyes itch, not smudgy. I don't know how it is about lengthening, but it is very comfortable and easy to wear. I think it only cost about $6 for the tube, and mine has a full straight brush on it. I will definitely buy this kind again!
One to avoid! Anything that has a comb instead of a brush. Trust me, you'll look like a tarantula is sitting over your eye. Gloppy messy, have to wash your face to get it all off. What a mess!!

I use Avon's Daring Curves mascara. I think it works really well .. doesn't clump, I don't need to apply a lot of it, it doesn't run on me and it is not considered waterproof. It is easy to remove with a simple makeup remover, cloth or face wash
