Unless you're fortunate enough to draw an 'insider' to your question, the answers you get will be speculative.

I could offer you a reasonable estimate and back it up with some relative and/or appropriate data but, it will still be 'a guess'.

Great Question and Good Luck on getting a 'real' answer! (:

Check the newspaper tommorow. It won't have your exact answer, but it will say how much the half time show costs. You could assume most of that was for Prince and his band. I would say take about 50% of that number, and that is what went to him.

It was the best half time performance in a long time. I liked it.

If I were to guestimate about 300,000 dollars, from which he pays for that elaborate stage and his band and his equiptment, and costumes and just about anything that isn't part of the stadium. Then there is the question of residuals, and copyrights for the performance and the music included in the performance. He will probably earn more than that before it is all over with.

he wasnt paid nothing at all!!

they paid for the productions of the show which is expensive

pepsi shelled out $12million for the sponsorship of the show to nfl!!

so nfl is making some money off it

but prince can go on a tour now and make maybe 150million gross off the publicity from the superbowl

if he got a dollar it was too much. He should have donated his time or paid Pepsi to allow him to do the Halftime.

I don't know, but it was a major let down for me...he is one of the most talented musicians to date, and I was SOOO looking forward to his performance...it was a mediocre act that anyone could have done and he seemed very uncomfortable doing it...
