Ugrades make Sims2 game run faster?

I play Sims 2 with all the expansion packs. I plan on adding the new Sims 2 Seasons. This expansions pack requires a good graphics card. So I decided add more over all memory to 1GB and the ATI Radeon 9250 graphics card with 512 memory. Will this make the speed of the game run faster and will it make the game start up faster? The processor is a 2.7 Ghz and the game only requires a 2.5.

    Yup it definetely will make the game run faster. I ran the game in laptop with 512 system memory and 128 integrated graphic memory and it was good. Your's will run smoothly

    I would upgrade the ram to 2 gb and if you can get the graphics card with 32mg of memory you will be ready for the next expansion pack after Seasons.
