on microsoft excel/spreadsheet whatever you want ot call it, how do i write more than one line in a box?

whenever i press enter it goes to the box under it

    Type the first line. Press Alt and Enter at the same time. Type the second line. Press Enter.

    If you want more than two lines, just repeat the Alt and Enter.

    BTW a "box" is called a "cell".

    When typing, hit "Alt-Enter" to go the next line within the cell. Hit Enter when done entering information in the cell.

    Do as qldtravel suggested and use the wrap text function. That way you can apply it to all your cells without having to keep hitting alt + enter. It will make creating the document very easy.

    press "alt+enter" at the same time and cursor will take you to the next line on the same cell.

    right click on the cell go to format, click on the header of allignment, click on wrap text, this will drop it into a second line, you may need to may the cell bigger height wise thoght to accommadate the extra lines
