Her and I are hanging out at her place alone. We are watching friends on DvD then we decide to play trivial pusuit DvD edition.
We're laughing and having a lot of fun... we order a pizza and watch the Jacket. We have a few drinks too.
Is that a date?
She had been saying that we need to hang out soon for some time. When we had talked on the phone that morning I said that we should go see a movie. she said she didn't have the money for that, So I said that I would take her out.
After some discussion, and her not wanting to see anything in the theaters she sugguested that we pick up a movie and stay in.
Also, I dunno if this is something or not... but she has az large lit candle on the coffee table when I got there

Did one of you initiate an invitation to hang out at her place and watch tv etc? A Date is an occasion that was Planned and Invited. If this happened after hanging out for the afternoon, and just kept going, then , its simply that, friends getting together and hanging out.

It depends. How did you/her ask if you wanted to hang out? If it was a casual, "Hey, do you want to come over and hang out for awhile?", than no, it isn't a date. However, if it was, "Maybe you and I should get together sometime.", it can be considered a date.

It's a date if you have more than 'just friends' feelings for her and she for you. Otherwise, hanging out with your best friend would also be considered a date.
