hitler genetically engineered people. fact. could schwarzenager be one of those super men?

his father was a nazi policeman. he is now in politics. and if the u.s.a. changes its constitution, then could the u.s.a. have a nazi president and not even realize it? please note that just as those who are polarizing as a democrat can be dubbed "socialists" and "communiists", repulicans who are polarized can be dubbed "fascists" or "nazis". so is it a coincidence that arnold is a republican?

Update:

also, everyone knows about arnold's stance on stem cell research, which is very unorthodox for a republican...but of course, the nazis would have had a field day with it!

Update 2:

butterbar, yes they did. they selectivly chose people to breed to create the perfect pure aryan "superior race".

JasonX, you claim in your YA profile to be a Mensa member, so it's interesting that you do not seem to grasp the difference between genetic engineering and selective breeding. Genetic engineering is generally considered to be the manipulation of genes outside the natural reproductive process, such as gene splicing. As Butterbar Bob already mentioned, the Nazis absolutely did not have the technology needed for genetic engineering; this is a very recent development. What they did was selective breeding, which has been done for centuries by people who wanted to create plants and animals with particular characteristics. Selective breeding simply involves choosing a male and female who have the desired traits and breeding them together in the natural, sexual way. Hitler's attempts were no more sophisticated than what dog breeders do on a regular basis. That's not to say that selective breeding isn't effective; it's just to try to make it clear that it's not the same thing as genetic engineering.

As far as Arnold Schwartzenegger, it's likely that his physique is a result of a combination of genes, an incredible amount of work and effort in maximizing his muscle development, and past use of anabolic steroids. He is not a superman, and his 4 children do not appear to have incredible muscle development, so his over-sized muscles were not directly passed along genetically (although it may be true that some or all of the children have a genetic tendency to a particular pattern of muscular development which will be expressed if they decide to put in as much hard work at it as their dad did.)

And although Arnold is a Republican, he is married to Maria Shriver, who is not only a Democrat but a member of the Kennedy family. And for further evidence that Arnold is not a Nazi, he is a big supporter of Special Olympics. Given your previous discourses on people who have developmental disabilities, JasonX, I suspect that your political viewpoints are far closer to Nazism than Arnold Schwartzenegger's.

    So what's your political affiliation?

He didn't genetically engineer people. Hell, they didn't have the advanced fertilization or genetic manipulation available today, where we still cannot engineer people, and he didn't even have a generation in which to do it. So, your premise is bogus.

And why are you people so adamant about hanging the bogus "nazi" or "fascist" on Republicans? Any minor study into it shows no correlations at all.

    ------------

Selecting 2 people to breed is not much in the way of "engineering", since they were only around to breed once. Not much of an genetic program, if it only lasts for one breeding. Genetic engineering requires either multiple generations or the ability to manipulate genes. They didn't have the time or the technology.

Hitler genetically engineered people in the same way that you would genetically engineer your grandchildren by making sure that your son/daughter grew up in the "right" neighborhood and attended the "right" schools. Young people choose their spouse from among their school mates and people they associate with. By controlling their environment, keeping them away from the ghettos, etc, you are genetically engineering their offspring.

Even if the country did amend the constitution so Schwarzenager could become President, his ancestry does not make him a Nazi. Clearly, by observing his actions in California, he is ANYTHING but a Nazi.

You probably had an ancestor that owned slaves, but that doesn't make you a slave owner or a suppressor of human rights.

  • You should rent the movie Twins, with Arnold and Danny DiVito. :)

PS Hitler was obsessed with Aryans, yet he was dark-haired, not a blond. Didn't anybody notice?
