In Arizona I have noticed that Fed-X routes can be privately owned. How does one get a route?

Most importantly...HOW DO YOU GET PAID??

FedEx Ground hires independent drivers who are subcontracted by FedEx to drive delivery routes. While you aren't really a FedEx employee you can't really make your own schedule. Also, you have to buy your own FedEx truck. If you are considering working for FedEx, try getting into FedEx Express instead. Their benefits are outstanding and you can move from an entry level position to driver relatively quickly, as FedEx hires from within.
