  • What is the cost of Italian Cypress trees?

Being a level 7 YA! player I have checked the internet for prices. I just want to know if anyone has bought one of these exact trees recently. If so, how much were they? I would like mine to be in the 10 to 20 foot range. All I am seeing online is that I have to call for pricing. I live in the 85326 zip code if that matters for delivery purposes.

Here is what they look like: http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=...

  • How do you color sand to make sand paintings?

I'm trying a new application regarding sand painting. I know I could just go to a craft store and buy tubs of sand in colors such as purple, green, red, blue, yellow etc. I don't want to do that. I want to color the grains of sand myself. I've looked on youtube for instructional videos and actually have not found any yet. I have heard that food coloring should work, but I have yet to see it done. I have 50 lbs of sterile sand and would like to hear from others how they may have done this process. I'd start experimenting right now, but the food coloring bottles are expensive for the amount of coloring you get and I don't want to use it all up just experimenting. Just need a little help here. Thanks.

  • Our dog dislikes one child in the neighborhood and growls and snaps at her. Why?

In our household we have 5 adults and three young children ages 4-4-6. When the kid's friends come over to play our dog growls, barks, snaps and recently charged one of the children. The visiting children are a 5 year old boy, 8 year old boy and 8 year old girl. Our dog charged the 8 year old girl.

Our seemingly agressive dog is an Australian Healer, but we also have a 2nd dog which is a yellow lab/shepard mix. The yellow lab is so mellow it's boring. She never does anything wrong. The Healer plays and wrestles with the yellow lab on a constant basis with no dire consequences.

Now the question. Why does the Australian Healer dislike this 8 year old girl so much. An adult is always present and this girl has never had an opportunity to make a first impression on the Healer. In other words she never had an opportunity to hurt the dog first.

All I can think of is that these children carry the scent of their own dog which is a Dobermine Pinscher. Could it be that the healer is freaked out by this scent? We have another adult friend who has a Dobermine and when he visits the Healer doesn't greet him with snarls and growling, it's all good stuff.

So who has an idea how we should handle this? We don't want to get rid of the Healer because he's very good with the small children in our own household and our Lab loves playing with her. What's your take on this Healers behavior towards this one 8 year old girl?

    Thanks pet forum people.

  • Why don't they sell hard liquor in grocery stores in Virginia?

On a recent trip to Washington D.C. we stayed in Arlington, Va. Near our hotel was a Costco store which we walked into. After looking for about ten minutes for a bottle of Jim Beam Bourbon I asked a clerk where their liquor was. She said it could only be purchased in state operated package stores. That was very inconvienient.

The two states I have recently lived in, Arizona and California sell liquor in grocery stores, big box stores like Costco, drug stores and privately run liquor stores. Why does Virginia make shopping for a party a two-stop event. Buy food in one one place and then drive to another for the booze.

  • What would make my brake lights not come on, I've already changed the bulbs?

    Chevy 2000 Tahoe.

I bought new bulbs and installed them. When I step on the break pedal my break lights do not come on. When I turn on my regular lights, the headlights and tail lights work fine, but still no break lights when I step on the break pedal.

Is there another connection that I need to be concerned about? Maybe a servo or trip switch is involved? Your advice and maybe a link to a website with pictures or schematics would be very much appreciated. Right now I cannot figure out what to do,

  • What are some tips when using Bleach as a weed killer?

I have about an acre of landscaped property around my home. I'm in Buckeye, Arizona.

I would like to use Bleach to kill the existing weeds and prevent new weeds from germinating in other parts of the yard. I will be using a large spraying canister to apply the Bleach.

My question is how much to apply? Do I spray a lot on the existing weeds or will just a light spray be sufficient enough? In the areas of the yard that have no weeds, how much should I spray?

I'm considering Bleach because Ortho and Roundup type products are $10-$20 while bleach is only $1.32 per gallon.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

  • Shopping at SAS Fabrics on Indian School Rd. in Phx. Would like some info please?

I'm trying to re-make my canopy for a 10 x 10 gazebo that was obliterated by the monsoon winds. It takes about 13 yards of material and places like JoAnn's Fabrics charge around $14 per yard for tan polyester. That can be quite expensive.

I have heard about a place on Indian School Road called SAS Fabrics that advertises material for $1.00 per yard. But before I drive 40 miles I would like to hear from others who have shopped there. Do they have large bolts of material or is everything in small pieces? Is the place organized or will I have to spend hours rummaging through heaps of material? I tried calling them but the phone person has an accent and is difficult to communicate with. So can anyone else in Phoenix help me out?

The place is on Indian School Road and is around 12th-16th street.

  • Looking for material fabric bolts that are 70 to 72 inches wide. Where can I buy this?

I'm doing a project and would like to use a single piece of material that is 70-72 wide instead of sewing multiple smaller pieces together. Polyester is my material of choice. Also, fabric having water resistant properties would be nice.

Names, phone numbers, addresses and website links would really be appreciated.

This has been like searching for the Holy Grail. Your help is urgently needed. Thanks to all in advance.

  • How do I access the recessed screw in the plastic molding panel on a 2000 Tahoe to change my taillight?

There is a screw that is recessed in a hole in the molding just behind my left tail light. I have tried every common socket known to mankind and cannot lock on to it. Did GM make a custom socket to access this fastener? The closest I come is using an extended thinwall socket, but that still binds on the wall of the plastic recess. Did GM turn down the OD of a standard socket to gain access? Tons of companies do this just to sell "special tools" in the OEM business. If you know the answer, please respond. Thanks to all in advance...Tom

Would like an answer from Frosty, Heidi or Frank if they participate in Yahoo Answers. Thanks to all those who can help us in Phoenix.

  • Left handed, but golf RH. Any Pro's to teach in Phoenix?

    Thanks in advance for answering!

My wife recently took up golf and really loves it. She is shooting in the 90's. She is a left handed person who plays baseball and golf right handed. It's obvious that she needs professional instruction (I do too) and we were wondering whether or not it takes a special type of instructor to teach people who have switched their handedness. I bring this up because the right and left hemispheres of the brain process info differently. We are in Buckeye, AZ about 35 miles west of Phoenix. Any Pros available to help us?

This is our first time using an accountant. We are starting a BBQ restraunt in Arizona. In our search we see "CPA" and "PC". What are the differences in the two designations? I want someone to help with cash flow, taxes, capitalization and expense reporting and control.

  • BBQ: Do more women or men order BBQ for lunch and dinner?

If you work in a BBQ eatery I would like to know if your patrons are more male or female. I have several choices as to where I can open a BBQ restraunt at. One is surrounded by hair and nail salons with botiques. The other has auto parts, sporting goods and a barber shop. So, which location would do better?

  • WHAT forces Mexicans to flee their own country?

Why dosen't the Mexican government make life better for the people of Mexico so they don't feel compelled to leave?

I know their tax structue is corrupt. The money comes into the federal coffers and never gets redistributed. This accounts for the creation of poorer citizens.

Shouldn't some pressure be brought to bear on the Mexican government to start cleaning up their internal messes?

How does the rest of the world view this situation?
