To what extent do the Olympics actas a stage for politics?

Certain Olympics like the 1936 Olympics had Adolph Hitler's Aryan policies and the 1980 Olympics with the US boycotting the Olympics in reaction to the USSR bring tanks into Afghanistan involve politics in the Olympics.

    Nearly all the modern Games have been politcal as far as I'm concerned.
