Why is Anna Nicole's DNA needed for her baby's paternity test?

    They will use Anna's DNA to compare it to the baby's, then they will exclude her DNA so that they can compare the babys DNA with the DNA from the 3 men claiming paternity. Also, they can tell that Anna was truly the babys mother, not switched at birth or something else weird like that.

    According to the news, they need her DNA to conclude that the baby is hers and hasn't been switched for the paternal DNA test.

    the need her dna to compare it with the babies since in a DNA test the take a sample from mom, baby and suspected dad then the moms dna is seperated from the babies sample and they compare it to the dads as well the can combine mom and dads to see if it makes babies because on maury when they do a test and the dad is dead they use a grandparent to do a grandparentage DNA test so hope that helped

    The paternity tests I've seen done - they take Polariod photos of each suspected parent - one with the kid, and take blood samples from all three.

  • The lawyers for the guy are saying that somehow they may switch babies and that is why they are wanting DNA from anna nicole.
