He was great in the playoffs, but he was just a regular joe during the season. No way was he considered to be in the top 10 for pitching in the NL. I can name 10 of the top of my head, Carpenter, Clemens, Oswalt, Harang, Arroyo, Zambrano, Penny, Chris Young, Glavine, Scott Olsen, and Webb. And that's a handful, not including any relievers.

He is no doubt bias, but the Brewers can surprise people. Especially if the NL Central is so up-for-grabs like it was last season.

Suppan is nowhere close to being the best pitcher in the NL. He isn't even the best pitcher on his own team. Ben Sheets is, at least when he's healthy. He wasn't the best pitcher on his old team, either. That would be Chris Carpenter.

Suppan is at best a #3 starter, which isn't bad, but certainly not what that fan said. I wouldn't say he's the most biased fan ever, but he's certainly delusional.

However, he sounds like far too many so-called sports fans, people who live and die with their favourite team and can't be bothered seeing that any other team exists, even as opposition to their team.

If you think that this was bad, you should try living in Toronto and having to hear Leafs fans all year round.

Of course, his contention also begs the question - if Suppan was so good, why did he not receive even a single vote of any type in the NL Cy Young voting?

i'm a Met fan, and that i'd desire to assert labeling Met followers as having "rigidity" is so genuine. i will no longer be able to truly communicate for the different fan bases, yet with the Mets they have been one hundred% superb. i do no longer think of you will desire to take this too heavily, that's basically going with the tendencies of fairly some the fan base. that's centred on relaxing, no longer something greater advantageous than that. they might desire to have added yet another one however. Phillies followers are narcissistic, they think of they're greater efficient than they are truthfully. BQ: My dad has mentioned that Met followers are nerdy. that's probable the worst insult i've got heard. he's a Yankee fan btw.

look at the statistics, Bronson Arroyo had the most innings pitched and was among the top in strikeouts. his pitching partner aaron harrang led in strike outs and ERA i think. Jeff Suppan was a good pitcher for STL, but not great.

He turned a great post season into a greater payday - good for him...Obviously, he wasn't the best pitcher in baseball last year.
