aggressively working to strip away our religious

    freedom.

From the Pledge of Allegiance to the Ten Commandments,

to prayer, the ACLU is the nation's foremost censor

of religious freedom. They have effectively manipulated

our very founding principles to repress religious

But it doesn't end there. Through their policies and

Though they claim to be great defenders of liberty,

Now, here's what I have to say:

The ACLU is the epitome of what is wrong with America.

The biggest societal mistake America commits is trying to make everything perfect. Every miniscule offense, whether real or imagined, has to be "corrected". Hence, people develop a bizarre sense of absolute entitlement.

Filmmaker Michael Moore asks people throughout his movie on the Columbine massacre why America had so much violent crime, often involving guns. Here is the answer he has been looking for: the unrealistic sense of absolute entitlement driven into the minds of Americans.

Only in America does one person have the "right" to be offended by something that neither concerns nor even affects him. In Florida, ONE Muslim complained about a nativity scene in a library, so everyone had to be deprived of seeing a beautiful, traditional Christmas display because of one silly, petulant whiner. In another case, a person complained about a nativity scene, even though they also had a Jewish Menorah and Muslim religious symbols on display for people to enjoy.

People have gotten so crazy about their "inviolate rights" that when something relatively insignificant happens, they react by shooting someone.

The ACLU does not understand one simple concept: a society cannot function when everyone has the right to disrupt absolutely anything they don't agree with. Imagine if you had a big dinner party at your home, and "Sally" complains about all the dishes containing meat, because she is a vegetarian.

"Bill" objects to the gold-rimmed wine glasses because gold is sometimes mined by underpaid workers in third world countries.

"Janice" complains that the dinner plates were manufactured by a non eco-friendly company, and demands that her host destroy all the offensive china immediately.

"Ahmed" bitterly denouces his hostess because she is serving wine, which violates the precepts held dear in the Koran. Also, this infidel hostess should be covered from head to toe in a burka, because her exposed calves are an abomination to god.

I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Just like this dinner party could not even be held, a society cannot function when the legitimacy of absolutely everything is constantly challenged.

    Enough of this chaos.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) was founded in 1920 by a group of people who were concerned that the Bill of Rights was nothing but a “parchment barrier” to governmental misdeeds.

But like so many other really good things, ACLU has been corrupted into a socialistic orginization whose avowed purpose is to destroy America and install communism at all costs...

2 words: Scope's Trial. The ACLU has actively fought the Christians the two in court docket and out. in the event that they could bypass away us on my own, we would not have an issue with them. even however, they are ineffective set against any factor of Christianity being portion of society. They threaten to sue any college that dares to the two doubt evolution or coach creationism. in specific circumstances they sue, understanding the college would not have the money for the form of trial. that's surely criminal to tutor creationism in public colleges, however the ACLU opposes any college that does. even however, while different religions attempt to place issues into the colleges, the ACLU screams "Freedom of religion!" yet while Christians attempt to place something into the colleges, they scream, "Separation of Church and State!" The Christians are opposed in direction of the ACLU because of the fact the ACLU is opposed in direction of Christians.

The ACLU is not to be confused with the UCLA.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a major American non-profit organization with headquarters in New York City, whose stated mission is "to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States".[1] It works through litigation, legislation, and community education.[1] The ACLU reported over 500,000 members at the end of 2005.

Lawsuits brought by the ACLU have been influential in the evolution of U.S. constitutional law.[2] The ACLU provides legal assistance in cases in which it considers civil liberties to be at risk. Even when the ACLU does not provide direct legal representation, it often submits amicus curiae briefs.

Outside of its legal work, the organization has also engaged in lobbying of elected officials and political activism.[3] The ACLU is independent and hard to classify on the left/right political spectrum. The ACLU has been critical of elected officials and policies of both Democrats and Republicans. However, Republicans consistently rank lower than Democrats in regard to supporting ACLU goals as seen in ACLU voting guides. [1

I would go back and double check that quote you stated. Anyways it was a bunch of do-gooders that felt like some peoples were being taken advantage of. There is a lot of truth to that, and they have helped an awful of people. They have also hurt a lot of people by throwing their personal beliefs into the court system.

As with most things in this life, some good and some bad. It is all in the eyse of the beholder. Don't worry though, their next decision will change your mind.

Just because the Republicans tend to wipe their *** with the Constitution more often than anyone doesn't mean that they work against them. The fact is that there is a written Constitution that is often violated by personal presumptions and the ACLU watch for that.

I hope that you never get in a position where you are defending yourself in a constitutional question. Because if you do the ACLU will be there for you. But by rejecting its principles, which by the way are not communistic by nature. You of course would not ask for their help. Right?

  • 1 decade ago

Yeah! Who voted in that communistic, fourth reich, branch of government any way? What makes them so big? Why do we have to pay attention to them?

They need to change their name. There is nothing "American' about the American Civil Liberties Union.

Source(s): My Crabby Nature against people that try to control freedom. Very hypocritical.

The ACLU was started as a legal defense fund for Communists
