What would be the best computer for media creation, usage and distribution?

I didn't feel like I got a good answer so I am going to put this to a vote.

One with a significant amount of memory (2+ GB), a fast processor (a very fast duo-core, 64-bit architecture if you can get it, fastest clock speed available) and a good video card (at least 256 MB).
In other words, NOT the new Mac.

The new one by Apple. My future brother-in-law has one and it is amazing! I'm not sure of the name, but hopefully someone else will answer and give it to you. But I have to say ~ that is the one you are looking for ~ hands down.

A beefy Mac. Macs are best for anything to do with media.
