What does "Hungarian L C" mean in the 1920 US Census under "Mother tongue"?

Update:

1) This does not apply to the 1920 or 1930 Census. (The 1910 Census does not have a space for "Mother tongue".)

2) The "LC" is written in superscript above "Hungarian".

3) It is not written above any other listing on the page for "Mother tongue" such as German, Polish, and Russian.

4) This is from the 1920 United States Federal Census: Atlanta Ward 2, Fulton, Georgia; Roll: T625_251; Page: 4A; Enumeration District: 58.

Update 2:

I found another example of this on a transcription of the 1920 Census where they use the following for Parent's Birthplace:

Rus-LC

Rus-Ger

i think it's nothing special, that person's mother tongue was Hungarian.

Source(s): i am Hungarian, and dont have any idea what "L C" means.

Could it be for "Language Chosen", since the person(s) doing the census didn't know what language category Hungarian fit into. Like a Philipino would have been categorized as Chinese, because the census taker didn't know how to categorize that person.
