Did the Dixie Chicks really deserve multi Grammies?

I haven't listened to them in a long time because they dumped a member of the original band because she was older and didn't fit their "young" image. Actually the one they dumped was more talented than the rest. But since everyone goes for the "sex appeal" thing, they got rid of her. So after that, I didn't listen to them. This was LONG before they said the anti American crap they said.

No they didn't. I didn't even know they had an album out all the other artist could be seen on shows and on TV promoting their albums. I would like to see the selling of the album they made and see how they compared (I know the awards weren't based on sales) because I think that they probably sold half the amount of albums these other artists sold.

heck no- it's the liberals who made the decisions. most country radio stations in my area and the other areas i drive in somewhat frequently have stopped playing Dixie Chicks since their comment a few years ago.

They are talented women artist...and just because they think Bush is a dumb *** (like many Americans...myself included) doesn't make them outcast..or rebels...

No, all the voters just wanted to hop on the "I hate Bush" bandwagon. What better way to send a message.

I don't like that kind of music (country), but I love that outspoken detractors of the Bush empire won som awards.
