has anyone ever managed to get their back windows done for free?
you know the deal, get the front done, we'll do the back for nothing, or buy one get one free, find these windows elsewhere...even getting a cheap door was a four sitting negotiation for us.
has ANYONE, EVER, managed to qualify for an advertised deal from a double glazing company..?

Nope it is all a con!
All they do is hike the price of the windows to compensate for the so called freebies!
I tried this and found that by buying ONE window in this so called deal I was actually paying over twice as much as if I wanted to replace a window singly! Single prices was £220 as part ofthe deal it was priced at £460!
I did the sensible thing - found a glazing company that makes the sealed units and bought direct from them and fitted the units into my wooden frames - total cost £260 for the WHOLE HOUSE!!
Double glazed units are only guaranteed 10 years and only then if you follow the companies guidelines and get an engineer in to check and repair (small print people) - wooden treated frames cost little in comparison and still carry a ten year anti rot gurantee - no brainer really!

I develop a few houses each year, not 100's just about 5-7.
I've never used a DG firm, always use a local builder I find them much more reliable and at about £50-£150 per window ( fitted ) it seems quite cheap to me. No haggling or special discounts, just a straight price for a straight job.
Does that compare well to DG firms, i've heard they can charge £250 per window ?
